Use of a Router is available for any cable plan. (Hypothetically you could have unlimited
number* of computers on the Internet at one time. *Depends on limitations of
the Router). CableONE.Net does not support LANS / Networks the following is for informational
purposes only.
** If using a wireless router please follow the manufacturer’s instructions to secure your wireless device (example: Configuring WEP security)

Un-supported connection (Cable ONE does not support configuring routers or internal networks)

Step ONE:
|
Power down and turn off your Computer (this also includes other Computers and or Routers). |
|
Step TWO:
|
Physically unplug the power from the Cable Modem. (Even if your Cable Modem
has a power button unplug the power cord.) |
|
Step THREE:
|
After the lights go out on the Cable Modem, count to five and then plug in the power
to the Cable Modem. (Do not power up any other device.) |
|
Step FOUR:
|
Wait until the "Cable Light" goes solid on your Cable Modem. (Depending on your
brand of Cable Modem you may not have designated "Cable Light".) |

Step FIVE: |
Now power up the Router. |
|
Step SIX: |
Turn on ONE computer. |

Step SEVEN: |
Open your browser and follow the instructions on the screen. |
