    My Mail - Viewing Email

I am logged into the MyMail website, where do my new messages go?

All messages are placed in your inbox unless you have specified other wise. When you initially log into MyMail you are automatically placed in your inbox. On the left hand side of the screen you will see your list of folders. The default folders are inbox, trash, sent items, and drafts. If you have created other folders, these will also be listed there. You can view emails in any of the folders by simply selecting the folder you would like to see the contents of.

How do I delete the messages I do not want?

At the bottom of the list of emails you will see a button labeled “move” with a drop down box next to it. There are two ways you can remove the emails you no longer want. Both ways start with you checking the box next to the emails you want removed. With this done, you can choose either Trash from the drop down box, or Erase Selected. The Trash option will move that email to your Trash folder. The Erase Selected option will automatically erase the emails you have selected. If you choose Trash, but the email did not show up, you have the “Auto Delete Trash” setting selected. To change this, please read “Where do I go to change some settings in MyMail?” question under the Change Settings category of this faq.
**Warning: There is no way to recover emails removed.

I need to move a message to another folder I have, how do I do that?

Check the box next to the email(s) you want to move to another folder. With that done scroll down to the bottom of the page where you will see a button labeled “Move” with a drop down box next to it. Select the drop down box and choose the folder you would like to move the selected email(s) to. Once you have chosen the folder, simply click on the “Move” button. Your messages should now have moved to your desired folders.

How do I read a message?

To read a single message from your list of messages (either through the inbox or another folder) simply select the subject of that email. This will take you to a new page with the email opened for viewing, and a list of options on the left for dealing with this email.

How do I respond to a message I am viewing?

With the message open for viewing you can reply to the message, reply all to the message, or forward the message. To reply to the sender of the email only, select the Reply button on the left hand side. To reply to every recipient of this email, except for yourself, select the Reply All button on the left hand side. To forward this email to a new recipient, select the Forward button on the left hand side. This will take you to the compose page enabling you to modify the email, and send it.

Do I have to keep going back to the inbox and manually selecting each email I want to view?

No you do not. If you already have an email open for viewing, you can easily flip through each email in the list. To do this select the “Next” button on the left hand side to view the very next email, or the “Previous” button to view the email prior to the one you are viewing.

Is there a quick way to add the sender of an email to my address book?

Yes there is. With the email opened for viewing, simply click on the “Address Book” link on the left hand side. This will add the sender of the email to your address book. You will get verification of this through an alert at the top of the email informing you that the email has been added to your address book.

Your abuse team has requested headers for a spam message I received, how do I get those using MyMail?

Open the email in question to view it. On the left hand side you will have a “View Headers” link. Selecting this link will open a pop-up window with the headers displayed. Headers are the footprints of the email, letting the abuse team know everywhere the email in question has been on the internet. Simply highlight the text, copy and paste it into a new email, and send it to the email address specified by the abuse team.
