| Step 1: |
| Make sure your Cable Modem is properly connected and the Ethernet cable is connected between the Cable Modem and your Apple computer. |

| Step 2: |
| Click on System Preferences and then on Network. (View Screenshot) |

| Click on the Built-In Ethernet link on the left. |

| Under the configure tab, click on Using DHCP and click on Apply on the lower right corner. (View Screenshot) |

| After a few moments you should see the IP address, Subnet Mask, Router ID, and DNS server fields populate with numbers. (View Screenshot) |

| If the numbers mentioned above do not immediately populate, please click on the Advanced button and click on the Renew DHCP Lease button. Click OK to close the window. (View Screenshot) |
